There are many marine classroom activities and resources on the Science Learning Hub useful for Seaweek 2015.
This online PD session recorded on 19 February 2015 shows primary and secondary teachers how to navigate the Hub while exploring some of these resources.
The Hubs have a wide range of articles covering science ideas and concepts that support primary teachers with science learning, and many activities offering a variety of teaching ideas and strategies for Seaweek.
Useful resources include:
- Investigating life in the sea – introduction
- The noisy reef – introduction
- Where land meets sea, the Rena disaster – introduction
- The ocean in action – introduction
- Investigating toxins – introduction
- Research voyage to Antarctica – introduction
- Tsunamis and surf – introduction
- Navigating without instruments – introduction.
Awesome thanks. Some great resources to use.
