In this online PD session recorded on 17 March 2016, Barb Ryan from the Science Learning Hub, explores resources suitable for children working at Levels 1 and 2. We look at resources from our resources on: Seeds, stems and spores, Observing water, On shaky ground (Earthquakes) and Soil. Some of the resources may be suitable for even younger (ECE) children.
This PLD session was based on the legacy Science Learning Hub however all the resources are still available on the new-look Science Learning Hub site.

Nature of science
Students are given opportunities to ask questions, find evidence, explore simple models, and carry out appropriate investigations to develop simple explanations. These opportunities engender much scientific discussion and sharing of ideas – helping to build scientific language and develop understandings.
