Ka ora te whenua, ka ora te wai, ka ora te tangata
Education research for sustainable communities
Education and education research play an important part in understanding wellness. Wellness is affected by what is happening to the land, our water and to our communities. While these are not healthy, we cannot hope to live sustainably. As education researchers adapt to the Performance Based Research Fund’s ‘more capacious’ definition of research, how do we as a research community ensure that our work contributes to more sustainable educational practices and relations, natural environments and social communities?
Distinguished Professor Barbara Rogoff, Distinguished Professor Graham Hingangaroa Smith, and Professor Alex Gunn have been announced as three of the keynote speakers. Be excited to be challenged, inspired, and educated by these wonderful scholars. Don't miss this opportunity to hear them speak!
Registrations open 1 August and Early bird closes 1 October.
Location: Massey University Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa, Palmerston North
